Notice on Arrangements of Teams from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas for RMUC and RMUL (North America Site) 2021

2021-02-09

Based on the "Announcement on the Adjustment of RoboMaster 2021 University Series (20201216)", the RoboMaster Organizing Committee (RMOC) hereby announces the arrangements of Teams from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Overseas for RMUC/RMUL 2021.

I. About Online Assessment

The RMOC released the "RoboMaster 2021 University Championship (International Division) Online Assessment Participant Manual V1.0 (20210208)" and the "RoboMaster 2021 University Series Robot Building Specifications Manual". Teams from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas can choose to participate in the online assessment to win corresponding awards by June 2021. Teams are required to build and display the robot lineup (Standard, Hero and Sentry) for the 3V3 Confrontation with reference to the "RMUL 2021 Rules Manual (North America Site)", which will be released in early March 2021. Please pay attention to the latest announcement on the official website.

II. About Participating in the RMUC Wild Card Competition

International teams that voluntarily choose to continue their preparation based on the RMUC rules and meet the epidemic prevention requirements of their home schools and Mainland China should continue to participate in the technical assessment according to the schedule for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas teams as stated in the "RMUC 2021 Participants Manual". After passing all technical assessment sections, teams can choose to participate in the RMUC 2021 Wild Card Competition in July 2021. Please note that the mid-term progress assessment of RMUC, which was scheduled to start on February 1, 2021, is adjusted to take place from February 22 at 12:00 p.m. to February 24 at 12:00 p.m. (applicable to teams from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas). Please pay attention to the relevant notice and submit materials in time.

Note: There are chances that international teams that choose to participate in the Wild Card Competition cannot enter Mainland China due to the epidemic policy. Therefore, teams should be aware of potential investment risks and bear the consequences themselves. Teams that have participated in the online assessment will not be able to participate in the offline Wild Card Competition, so they don't need to submit materials for the "Final Robot Assessment" scheduled from May 31 to June 2.

III. About RMUL Overseas Sites

The RMOC will hold the RMUL 2021 (North America Site) at Texas A&M University in June 2021, and will start the registration for this site in early March 2021. We are looking forward to your application! The co-organizers of this competition are Texas Aimbots from Texas A&M University and RoboMaster North America Union. The RMUL 2021 (North America Site) will feature a 3V3 Confrontation (one Standard, one Hero and one Sentry for each side) and a Standard Confrontation (one Standard for each side). The "RMUL 2021 Rules Manual (North America Site)" and "RMUL 2021 Participants Manual (North America Site)" will be released in early March 2021. Please pay attention to the latest announcement on the official website.

In addition, after a comprehensive evaluation of the local hosting conditions, the RMOC has decided not to hold the RMUL 2021 (Japan Site) for the time being.
