Now Accepting Registration for RoboMaster 2020 Season

Now Accepting Registration for RoboMaster 2020 Season

Founded by SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd and designed for young engineers, RoboMaster is a global educational robotics program that includes events, campus clubs, and pop-culture spinoffs.

RoboMaster is China's first FPV-shooter-based robotics competition. It requires participants to go beyond their textbooks to develop a diverse fleet of robots. Through a process of independent research and development, students gain invaluable industrial practice and strategic planning skills. This helps to combine their book knowledge with practice in this field. The most advanced and intelligent robots are built through intense competition and relentless improvement.

RoboMaster 2020 (hereinafter referred to as RM2020) season includes three major competitions: RoboMaster Robotics Competition, RoboMaster Technical Challenge and RoboMaster AI Challenge.

【Competition introduction】

RoboMaster 2020 Robotics Competition

RoboMaster Robotics Competition focuses on the comprehensive application and engineering practice ability of the participating members in science and engineering disciplines, fully integrating many robot related technical disciplines such as "machine vision", "embedded system design", "mechanical control", "inertial navigation", "human-computer interaction", etc. At the same time, the innovative combination of e-sports presentation and robotic competition makes the robot confrontation more intuitive and intense, attracting the attention and participation of many technology enthusiasts and the public.

The participating teams independently develop different types of robots, and launch projectiles in the complex battlefield. The robots need to cooperate with each other and work together. At the end of the match, the team with the highest remaining Base HP wins the match.

RoboMaster 2020 Technical Challenge

RoboMaster Technical Challenge focuses on academic research in a certain field of robotics. It aims to encourage in-depth mining of technology, excellence, and robots to the extreme.

RoboMaster 2020 will include the classic technical challenges for Standard and Engineer robots, as well as new technical challenges for the Sentry and Projectile Launching System. In the Technical Challenge, participants only need one or two robots to complete a challenge, which means they can greatly reduce the cost of research and development, and concentrate their manpower and funding to seek breakthroughs. For young teams, the Technical Challenge is undoubtedly a good choice to show off their skills.

RoboMaster 2020 AI Challenge

The RoboMaster Organizing Committee had host the RoboMaster AI Challenge in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation for three years.

In 2020, The game adopts the form of “automatic robot launching confrontation”. The venue is full of functional organs. The participating teams need to use the official robot platform to conduct motion planning and control by sensing the environmental information of the battlefield and making decisions based on the situation on the field. The fully automatic robots launch projectiles against the enemy robots. At the end of the game, the team with the highest blood of the robots won the game.
