Notice on the Mid-Term Progress Assessment for RMUC 2023

Participants:
1. Tier-2 Teams and Teams from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Overseas that have passed the Referee System Exam.
2. Tier-1 Teams are not required to participate in this section. They are entitled to the privileges for passing the assessment by default, except for the product discounts. The RMOC recommends Tier-1 teams to take part in the assessment voluntarily.
Pariticipation: Participate as a team and log into the registration system with the Captain’s account
Submission Time: March 6, 2023, 18:00 - March 8, 2023, 18:00 (Beijing time)
Submission Opportunity: Once
Passing Criteria: All teams will be ranked according to their final score. A certain proportion of the top-ranked teams will pass this section.
Assessment Scope: Refer to the Mid-Term Progress Assessment criteria in “RMUC 2023 Participant Manual” and the following requirements:
1. Mid-Term Presentation: Refer to “RoboMaster University Series Progress Assessment Criteria”. Submit a video and PowerPoint file to show the plan and progress of each robot with proof and evidence including video clips, screenshots of the progress plan, screenshots of the drawings, debugging records, etc. The video should be made based on the PPT file and the RMOC will mainly assess the video, with the PPT file for reference only. The RoboMaster University Series Progress Assessment Criteria provides reference scores for certain functions. If a robot is designed with extra functions that are not listed in the criteria, extra scores will be offered accordingly. Therefore please present as much the progress that you’ve already made as possible.
2. Season Schedule Updates: Refer to “RoboMaster Season Schedule Updates Template”, Excel format
3. Culture-building Progress Report: To be submitted in Final Robot Assessment
Documentation Requirements:
1. Excel format: SimSun (Chinese) or Times New Roman (English) in 11pt, wrap text, autofit row height and column width, vertical center, horizontal left or center, unless otherwise specially requested
2. PPT format:
- a.SimSun (Chinese) or Times New Roman (English) in 24pt
- b.Each slide must have a title to summarize the content
- c.Display all content in Normal View and avoid using animations that requires to play the slides
- d.The file size should be no larger than 300M
3. File Name: School+Team+Subject
Video Requirements:
- 1.The resolution must be higher than 720p; subtitles or commentaries should be included to explain each process in the video; only relevant content should be shown, with the video well-paced and its duration kept within 5 minutes; upload the video to Youtube and set a password (if needed)
- 2.To prevent the repeated use of the video and the resulting discrepancy between the displayed progress and the actual situation, each participating team is requested to choose one of the following methods to shoot and submit supporting materials according to the actual situation. For clips/submissions that do not comply with this requirement, the maximum score for the corresponding content can only be 50% of the full score.
a. Click here to download the armor drawing for technical assessment. Print the file and post it on the robot armor module or its reserved installation position. For robots that do not have armor modules, such as Aerial Robot, please use method b to shoot videos.
b. Click here to download the background board for technical assessment. During the video shooting process, print the file in A3 size, use a full-screen mode of the notebook or other physical methods to clearly display the background board throughout the shooting. Post-compositing is prohibited.
c. For teams who have finished shooting the video due to special reasons such as the start of school/delayed exams, if they cannot re-shoot the video according to the above requirements, they should submit proof materials to the registration center to prove that the video was shot on between November 15, 2022 to February 20, 2023. The materials shall include the creation time displayed in the original shooting equipment, and the original video material and other materials can also be submitted. Files are submitted in the form of a compressed package, with a total size of no more than 300M. The RMOC will inspect all video materials. For clips/submissions that do not comply with this requirement, the maximum score for the corresponding content can only be 50% of the full score.
Privileges for passing the assessment:
1. Obtain permission to borrow Referee Systems for Standard, Hero, Engineer, Sentry (one set for each robot)
2. Obtain permission to participate in the Final Robot Assessment
